I had to write and share that I'll be interviewed on National Radio at 2.40pm Wednesday 2nd September talking about edible weeds (of course)! Here is a link to National Radio.

I also wanted to tell you about a gathering happening tomorrow at the Historic Village in Tauranga.  Lynda who is part of establishing an Ooooby (Out of our own backyard) box scheme in Tauranga says this "This Wednesday the 2nd of September the very inspiring founders of Ooooby (Pete Russell and James Samuels) will be at the Historic Village in the main hall giving a talk from 7pm to 9pm (the venue will be open from 3pm for those of you who can't make the evening) 
The talk will be about rebuilding the local food system not just here in NZ but all around the world and how ooooby is helping to do that, there are also opportunities to be a part of this exciting movement.
We look forward to seeing you there."

Finally I wanted to let those of you know that there is a big birthday party for Skyla at 10am on Sunday at Ronald McDonald house at Starship Hospital. All welcome. Lots of food and entertainers.Skyla is a little 5 year old seriously ill in Starship hospital. She needs all the love and healing she can get.  Here is the Facebook page set up for her.
